Google Broadcasts YouTube...in 3D!!!

Just a day after Sonic Solutions announced that CinemaNow was preparing for the launch of 3D movies delivered electronically later in the year, Google has apparently followed suit.

As the image above demonstrates, Google is apparently testing delivering some movies in 3D formats. What's interesting is that switching the format on the dropdown menu also adjusts the format of the movie itself. So far, however, most of the formats seem to favor the older anaglyph style of 3D, the sort which requires the funky red and green glasses.

Google hasn't made any announcements on its YouTube blog at the moment, so we'll wait to see what the company says, if anything. In any event, however, it looks like at least some of the older B-movie classics might appear in 3D goodness.
