Samsung launches 3 touch screen phones

NEW DELHI: Samsung has added three new touch screen phones to its already existing kitty of four! Samsung Star, Star 3G and Beat DJ are now part
of the new range of touch screen phones launched in the Indian market.

Samsung's Star (S5233) which is a significant addition to Samsung's full-touch screen mobile range, comes in a slim and compact body that measures a mere 11.9 mm. With a 7.63 cm WQVGA full-touch screen and Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface with mobile widgets. With Photo Contact feature, users can call a contact by simply touching an image. It also comes with a stylus for greater convenience.

Multimedia features in Samsung Star include a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with smile recognition capability. It supports multi-format playback and DNSe. There's also a Gesture Control feature that allows the user to unlock the Touch Screen or run an application by giving a gesture command. The phone supports 50MB internal memory, expandable up to 8GB.

Samsung Star 3G offers full Internet browsing support with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation. It is equipped with the same features as the S5233 including Gesture Control. It also has a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with Power LED Flash and 80MB internal memory expandable up to 8GB.

Samsung BEAT DJ handset comes with the company's intuitive DISC User Interface. With BEAT DJ application & DISC UI, users can add preloaded voice samples and sound effects to their favorite songs and record it. The phone has 2.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen display (240 x 400 pixels with 16 million colors),50MB internal microSD card slot (up to 16GB)
