Sprint releases HTC Touch Pro

Sprint is back again with yet another HTC handset, this time round it will be the HTC Touch Pro that will grace our land and attempt to prise our hard earned dollars in return for a highly desirable smartphone. The HTC Touch Pro might resemble the HTC Touch Diamond at first glance, but upon closer inspection, things are very different since this is more of a business-oriented handset that attempts to help you get work done no matter where you are in a fairly quick and easy manner. Based on the strong feature set that is found on the HTC Touch Diamond, the HTC Touch Pro goes one-up by introducing a five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard that makes data entry a snap. How then, does it fare as a smartphone?

You can further increase its storage capabilities with a microSD memory card slot (each HTC Touch Pro comes with a complimentary 1GB microSD card) while the business card scanner application lets you capture and convert business card information on the spot without having to return home or to the office and do that tedious task later, reducing the chances of you forgetting or missing out on essential contact information. Capture business secrets of others with the integrated 3.2 megapixel camera that can record video as well, while the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system provides access to security and device management capabilities that are often sought after by many business customers.

Key features of the HTC Touch Pro include :-

COMA 2000 1X/EDO Rev.A/1xRTT and IS-95A/B voice or data. Dual band (800 and 1900 MHz)
2.8″ VGA touch screen display
512MB internal flash memory
288MB RAM
Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support
Wi-Fi connectivity
aGPS navigation
mini USB port
USB jack
Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528MHz processor
You can pick up the HTC Touch Pro for $299.99, and that is after a two-year contract with a $100 mail-in-rebate and a $25-or-higher data add-on or everything plan with data.
